My name is Larry, and to many online, I'm known as geekynerddad – a father, and a passionate member of the online community. Life took an unexpected turn in 2023 when I received a diagnosis that shook my world: stage 4 Breast Cancer. Like many, I was unaware that this disease could affect men, but since that day, my reality has been filled with doctor's appointments, grueling chemotherapy, surgeries, and radiation therapy.

The past year and a half has been the most challenging of my life. There have been days filled with uncertainty and pain, but through it all, the unwavering support of my incredible family and my friends has been a lifeline.

I am deeply grateful that the company I work for has allowed me to continue working from home, providing a sense of normalcy and purpose during this difficult time.

While I am blessed with health insurance, the sheer volume of treatments and procedures has resulted in over $23,000 in out-of-pocket medical expenses. To help manage overall costs, I've been fortunate to stay with family, whose love and support have been invaluable. Honestly, without the kindness of my family and friends, I don't know how I would navigate this journey.
