We are now asking for help to cover the cost of his funeral and service.
Landon Blaine-Dean Seward, age 20 of Loudon, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025, surrounded by his family. Landon enjoyed fishing, trapping, hunting, farming, and motorcycles. He worked at and loved Benchmark Farms; they were his second family.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 5 pm-7pm at Loudon Funeral Home.

“…someday I hope you get the chance to live like you were dying…” - Tim McGraw

A stopwatch. A timer ticking down to zero. What a humble thing for a young man to have and yet, Landon Seward, has been living with it, in stride, for the past five years, after being diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a pediatric cancer with no known cure, at the age of fifteen. Landon and his family have willingly explored several of the many available options for dispelling it for a time, including medications, surgeries, and radiation therapies; however, actual remission of the cancer has been extremely few and far between.
Without these treatments holding the cancer at bay, the prognosis is very unkind to the body. Oncology says a gracious estimation is six months. All of these options take their toll and while grateful for all of the support he has received over the years, as Landon approaches his twentieth birthday, he has made the difficult and adult decision to say ‘no more’.
To quote him: “… no more prodding. No more pricking, Mom. I’m done. I am tired. I just wanna live out what I got left.”
So then… what’s left?
What do you do with the finite time you are allotted?
YOU LIVE.
YOU LIVE LIKE YOU ARE DYING.
Landon is described by his family as a self proclaimed dare devil and while he isn’t exactly sure what it means to him to live the last of his life out, he wants to do it in full. Below is a modest goal scheduled by Landon’s family, set in hopes to ease the financial burden of allowing Landon to choose his own final adventures without limitations; having already had so many physical and financial ones thrust upon him before by the heavy lot in life he so elegantly bears.
If you are so moved to donate, know that you are participating in this young man’s life in ways that the unpredictability of the day-to-day often doesn’t afford us to do. What a true treasure it will be.
