Kristy has experienced a relapse with her leukemia. She has amazing doctors at the University of Maryland Medical Center who are helping her through chemotherapy and ultimately a bone marrow transplant.

Beginning around May 10th, Kristy began to experience dizziness. This quickly progressed to headaches and blurred vision. She was first misdiagnosed with migraines. The headaches worsened and she tested positive for a few viruses which we all hoped was all that it was. However, on May 21st test results revealed that the leukemia is back and affecting the blood around her brain and spinal cord. Her treatment is intense and includes lumbar puncture procedures and chemo for now. This is all very scary for Kristy and her family. Her doctors are hopeful that she can be successfully treated.
