As many of you may or may not know, our beautiful mother, Kristen, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She had a lumpectomy, successfully removing the tumor, and now has multiple weeks of radiation ahead of her. 

While her prognosis and spirits are high, the bills have been rolling in. Our mom is a single mother of 4 kids. She’s been doing it all on her own for many years and has never complained or wished it didn’t have to happen to her. She’s resilient, brave, and stubborn and would never ask for help. So this is where us kids come in. 

My mother is the most amazing person. I know everyone says that about their mother, but there’s justsomething special about ours. If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting her, then you know exactly what Imean! I’m not going to go on and on about her (because I know this is already embarrassing her enough) but sometimes people just can’t do everything on their own and there’s nothing wrong with receiving some assistance.
