Hi all,

My name is Emma Elsner, and I'm organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my best cousin, Krista Hintzman. Krista and her husband, Chris, received the devastating news of a molar pregnancy this fall. Two D&C procedures were done to remove the tumor that had formed in Krista's uterus. While they were grieving the loss of their baby, they then learned that a rare form of cancer had formed and continued to grow deeper into the uterine wall. Krista started chemotherapy in January. Unfortunately, the original treatment did not work as planned, and her HCG levels have plateaued. This means a change in chemotherapy drugs and, ultimately, prolonged treatment time.

This whole sequence of events has been rare complication after rare complication. Krista and Chris have the best attitude about the whole situation. They know that their baby is in heaven. They know that the Lord is with them, especially in this trial. They know that they can use this pain and their story for the good of His kingdom. They are a loving, humble couple who have dedicated their lives to the ministry of God. They would never ask for help, but that's where we come in.

Friends, family, and good Samaritans, would you consider donating to Krista's fundraiser as you feel called? Would you bless them with a financial gift to show the support they have behind them? They have a large medical bill already, and it's only going to get higher as treatment continues. We hope to relieve some stress in the financial area so they can focus their energy on Krista's fight against cancer. Most importantly, would you pray for Krista daily?

True comfort and guidance can only be found in Him. At the beginning of this trial, Krista and Chris shared the following verses:

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted. He saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18
