A Heartfelt Update on Krina Patel

We are deeply grateful to share some positive news about Krina Patel, whose medical journey touched so many hearts in our community.

Thanks to timely care at Baylor Scott & White Hospital and the incredible support from our community, other charitable organizations, and countless kind individuals like yourself — Krina’s condition has thankfully stabilized. In Dallas Baylor hospital seeing her progress, they gave her discharge without surgery and cleared her for travel.

While in Dallas, Krina and her parents were given a safe place to rest and recover thanks to the generosity of hotel owners and compassionate community members. Travel back to India was arranged by DFW Gujarati Samaj. She has been able to return home to India to continue her recovery surrounded by loved ones and she has kindly asked for privacy as she focuses on healing.

We also want to share that a total of $15,817.36 was spent on Krina’s care, including medical equipment, oxygen support, travel, and initial treatment in India. These expenses were fully covered by donations from DFW Gujarati Samaj Committee, United Gujaratis of North Texas (UGNT), SLPS, and other charitable organizations. Because of this, ALL donations made via GoFundMe will be refunded in full.
