Join Kory (and Billy) Ward's Fight for her Health

Dear friends and family of Billy and Kory Ward,

Many of you may know that Kory was life flighted to St. Lukes hospital in Boise on Saturday, February 8th after being in the hospital in Ketchum for a day with severe Thunderclap headaches and bleeding in the brain.

Kory was diagnosed with two non-related neurological conditions – RCVS and PRES, possibly one being caused by a necessary chemo medication Kory takes for a blood disorder (Leukemia). She was placed in ICU and the neurological wing until February 21st due to the severity of the symptoms and excruciating pain.

Kory was released from the hospital, and is now home, but the symptoms of the PRES and RCVS may be present for a period of 1 - 3 months. Kory now needs many additional medical visits to Salt Lake City to find the right medications for her Leukemia - since this was once of the causes of the brain bleed.

Kory and Billy are tough Wood River Valley Idahoans and have the “I’ve got this” attitude. Yet Kory will not be able to work for some time, while Billy is self-employed and trying his best to keep normality at home for their son Diesel (just won 2 Gold medals at the Special Olympics) and tending to Kory. Their biggest focus should be getting Kory healthy while not worrying about the pieces of paper that come in the mail with $ figures.

In a world where independence is often celebrated, the power of asking for help can sometimes be overlooked. Whether it’s in moments of doubt, during challenging times, or simply when a task feels too overwhelming, reaching out for support is a courageous act that connects us with others.

Your consideration, thoughts, and help at this time is greatly appreciated either by this GoFundMe........

or with the .........
Bald Mountain Rescue Fund, a 501(c)3 which provides financial assistance to victims, and their families, suffering catastrophic injury, illness or death, including payment of uninsured medical expenses and other living expenses which are unpaid due to loss of income. All donations are tax deductible with the BMRF.

If sending a check to the BMRF - please put “Kory and/or Billy Ward” in the memo line so the funds will be earmarked for them. Checks can be mailed to the Bald Mountain Rescue Fund, PO Box 370, Ketchum Idaho 83340 with Kory/Billy Ward in the memo.

This fundraiser will help Kory and Billy reduce the financial stress and burden of the cost of her medical treatment in Ketchum and Boise, more trips to SLC to the Huntsman Clinic, and loss of income while trying to gain her health back.

With much appreciation.
