Hi Everyone! As you may know, my nephew Koe Mannens has been diagnosed with an immune system disorder called HLH, which he has been battling since March of this year. HLH causes inflammation and overactivity of immune cells. Tests conducted at the beginning of his journey ruled out genetic and cancer-related HLH, but those are continuously being revisited with more in-depth testing. He has been receiving regular chemotherapy, among other medications for various infections. While we have seen progress in certain areas of his condition, he continues to battle infections, and conversations with Stanford have potentially put bone marrow transplant on the table as a treatment option. Recently, he was officially transferred to Stanford as a patient.

As a result, we've started this GoFundMe to assist the Mannens family with the costs associated with the hospital transfer, logistics, and continued medical expenses. Any funds received and not utilized will be donated to local medical foundations that have assisted the Mannens and other families with similar medical battles.
