King is our adopted 5 yr. old pup. About 2 weeks ago, he started having issues climbing stairs and jumping, unlike his usual playful self. Then on June 1st, he started crying out in pain, and his back legs were not working entirely. We have had 3 trips to our regular vet to help manage his pain. He was prescribed anti-inflammatories and pain meds. Then this past Monday, he was given a fentanyl patch. All of which are not keeping his pain managed.
Today, we went to the Upstate Animal hospital in Latham, where they are sending us to Tufts emergency hospital in Massachusetts for an MRI, Spinal tap, and Spinal surgery. We are hoping this will give our boy a chance at a normal life before paralysis sets in. My husband Ray and I are asking for any donation(s) that can go towards King's medical care. It is estimated to be between $8k-13k for Tufts to treat him. My husband Ray and I are at the end of our financial rope, as I am sure many of you are. Any help will be appreciated. Even if it is to share our story with others.
Thank you,
Love Erika, Ray and especially King.
