New Update-

Home again! Kim is enjoying a salmondinner requested specifically and is becoming his old active self again.

He has a hospital bed and full time nursing staff around him to get him back up and walking.

— Kim is now in a private apartment and has been released from the hospital.

This is great news for his stroke recovery.

Now he will have 24 hour nursing care in his home.

These are 2 shifts 12 hours each for the foreseeable future.

Please share this fundraiser with whomever you can, the second phase of Kim’s recovery has just begun.

On May 12th the world changed for Kim, and he had the rug pulled out from underneath him.

A stroke left him collapsed on the floor of his home, where he was found the next day by family.

He has been fighting hard to regain normal functions ever since. Currently his left side is still paralyzed.

The man people call friend, compatriot, brother and dad is someone we know who would do anything for the ones he loves.

Now it is him that needs help from loved ones.

Kim did have health insurance, but they refused to cover the stroke.

He went to one of the best hospitals in Kenya, Pandya hospital near his home in the city of Mombasa.

They have taken good care of him so far and provided excellent services from his weeks in the ICU.

The healthcare he received puts him in a position to regain use of his mind and body.

Below is the hospital accounting so far:

1. Skilled Nurse / PT/OT/HHA - pending quotes (5000)
2. Current Hospital equipment and supplies - 3300
3. Hospital Bill - 12160
4. Doctors fee -pending until Kim is discharged (3000)
5. Bed + private nurse 228 day x 7 day= 1600 x 2 weeks = 3200

Total 26,660

Insurance pays= 2350

The medical Bill at the moment assuming Kim is going to be there in 2 weeks:
$24,310

Remaining: Doctor Fees and skilled care SN, PT , OT at HHA.

We are waiting for the day we can see Kim’s big smile again.

Thank you for any support you can give.

Brother Kim is up and our goal is to get him talking and walking through rehab so he can re-enter normal life.

He is only 39 years old with boundless energy and real estate and construction projects, helping kids on our area by building them schools and paying their fees, and creating employment to the poor.

He is missing this if we do not get him up and running soon ❤️❤️❤️
