Hello Community! Kellie Maledy's sweet pup Willa has been diagnosed with a tumor of unknown malignancy in one of her kidneys and needs surgery immediately, not only to prevent the potential spread of cancer but also to stop further urinary infections and bleeding.

Willa is only 6-years-old and has a lot of life ahead of her! The vet says she is an excellent candidate for the surgery--young, strong and otherwise healthy.

The multiple tests necessary to even get the diagnosis have already been costly, but the surgery and follow-up care are financially more than any one person should have to take on. (There isn't even a payment plan offered for this operation.)

Fortunately, Kellie has a big, loving, compassionate community that she has generously nurtured in so many ways over the years (taking care of so many of our children, encouraging their creative spirits through art, and fostering important adult journeys too!).
