Join Kato's Fight Against Sickle Cell Disease
Donation protected
Greetings and blessings to you. I am fundraising for a little boy named Kato Killian from Uganda. I met his aunt during General Conference for the United Methodist Church this past Spring and came to know the dire story of his Sickle Cell Disease. He is such a beautiful child and should have the chance at life that only this surgery can provide.
Unable to raise monies effectively through crowd-funding from Uganda, I am offering my network and efforts to see if we can share of ourselves and save a life.
Kato, a precious 5-year-old, has been diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease, a genetic disorder that affects hemoglobin production. His only hope for a cure is a bone marrow transplant, which is possible with our support. The goal is $50,000, which will be necessary for this life-saving operation he can receive in India this December. The funds will cover the bone marrow transplant surgery; pre- and post-operative care; medical expenses; and travel for he and his family.
I correspond with Juliet, Kate's aunt, every week to see how he is doing and to find out what they are able to do, now turning dire.
