Howdy Yall. As you may know my sister, Katie Holland, has been very sick with her Journey beginning with Her Gallbladder removal around the end of May. She was just healing from that and was taken by ambulance to a local Hospital to find a gallstone had gotten stuck in her bile duct and this had caused inflammation of her liver and spleen and caused pancreatitis. She was treated and released several days later. After being home a short period she developed a high fever, pain and could not keep anything down. After she was treated and released several days later it happened again. The next time this occurred it was decided that instead of the local Hospital she would be taken to Duke Emergency Department in Durham. She was admitted and received Wonderful Treatment from the Teams of Specialists and Staff. She had been through several procedures and CT Scans at both Hospitals and diagnosed with Necrotizing Pancreatitis and Pseudo Cysts of her pancreas. It can be a long journey to heal from this. She is home from Duke and feeling better but has an unknown amount of CT Scans and Procedures to treat this disease of her pancreas in the future.
In the span of two months, she has been in the Hospital five times. She also had placement of stents with one procedure to help heal the pseudo cysts which will later be removed.
Any donation you could make would be greatly appreciated by Katie and Her Family.
I wanted to start this for her to offset Medical Bills and unexpected expenses that came along with all of these admissions, testing and procedures.
As everyone knows me and Katie are really close, my mother and me have been trading off going up there to help, I wanted to do something to help Katie in anyway I can. I love her the most.
