As some of you may know, our cousin Kalei recently was told the words no person, let alone a 28-year-old mom of two young girls, should ever should have to hear - that she has been diagnosed with cancer. It has now been confirmed to be rectal cancer, specifically a Stage 2 T3 tumor. This has understandably been an incredibly difficult few weeks as we’ve all tried to process this unexpected news and figure out the next steps.

Kalei’s strength over the last few weeks has been amazing to witness. Her husband and her two girls are her entire world, and she’s continued to put them first because that’s the kind of wife and mom she is. She’s leaned so hard into her faith, and we’re confident that will carry her through this difficult chapter.

We also know some days will be harder than others. Our job as her family & friends is to rally around her, Matt, and the girls, and pray for them, love on them, and remind them that they’re not fighting this battle alone - we all are here fighting this battle right alongside them.
