Hello everyone!
My name is Kaitlyn Ross and I am trying to raise money to perform in an open class corps, called Columbians, for the 2026 Drum Corps International (DCI) season as a Drum Major!
This is my second year at Columbians. I deeply enjoyed my first year; it had such an impact on my life, and I couldn't be more grateful for the experience.
For anyone who is not familiar with the activity, DCI, or Drum Corps International, is the highest level of the marching arts in the world of performance. This activity brings together top performers from all over the globe to come together for a 3-month-long season to travel the United States and perform a show in front of thousands of people. As part of this, I will be competing in a multitude of competitions which all lead up to the World Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, this coming August!
During this tour, I would train 10-14 hours a day throughout the whole season, practicing an 8+ minute show which we perform all season. We spend the entire tour performing with one show, perfecting it along the way, all the way up until World Championships.
However, being able to participate in DCI this season comes with incredible financial hurdles. The total cost of tuition, travel, and required items to be able to march with open class groups is around $7000. This is a long journey that will take a lot of time and money to complete, and that's why I am asking for your help.
Every donation counts, no matter the amount! And your support brings me one step closer to fulfilling my dream. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has helped me along this journey; you are the reason I'm able to march DCI.
