I'm Justine, a sixteen-year-old minority entrepreneur who started a marshmallow business! I'm looking to raise funds to buy commercial appliances and other startup necessities, as I'm going to transition from cottage food act to a commercial food license. I have been fortunate enough to find a commercial kitchen space we will occupy!

We were not expecting the business to grow as much as it has! I was 14 when I started this business, because my school offered a class trip to Barcelona. So, I decided to make marshmallows to raise money. I got the OK from my school and started selling different marshmallow products after school in the cafeteria. At first, I was only trying to reach the amount of money I needed for the Barcelona trip, but the number of people supporting me made me realize this business could be extremely viable in many ways! I could make revenue to sustain the business, but I could also raise money for charity, continue to travel, and take enrichment classes! In addition, my school has organized another school trip to Tokyo in which I wish to attend! in order to raise money for these endeavors, we must change to a commercial license.

With the commercial kitchen, another one of my goals is to distribute my products in coffee shops and the Denver International airport. Making marshmallows is truly enjoyable for me, and I aspire to bring joy to people through my product. I really wish to grow the business in small steps so I can continue to grow up.
