Join Julie's Journey to Overcome Cancer

My name is Julie and I was just diagnosed with breast cancer. I currently work and have private pay insurance, but as you may know, that only goes so far. I am the primary financial provider for me, my husband, and his stepfather. My husband and stepfather are both disabled, so they are unable to work.

With this diagnosis, I will be missing work. I am so worried about the financial burden this will cause due to all the copays and deductibles. I am a very prideful person and I am not the best at asking for help, so please no negative comments; I am already struggling enough.

So far, we are still getting all the details, but as of now, we know it's Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. They have informed me I will need surgery to remove the cancer and also radiation. We are still testing to make sure that the cancer has not spread to other areas. I am going today for an echocardiogram. My doctor is ordering a PET scan, but my insurance is not wanting to cover that, so I will have to see how much that will cost out of pocket.

I will post updates as I have them. I know with all the appointments and surgery, I will lose time at work and also will be adding to our bills while taking away from what little income we do have. I am asking for prayers most of all, but if God lays it on your heart to make a donation, we would greatly appreciate that as well.
