Hello, my name is Journei. I am 21 years old and have recently had a life-altering experience. I was recently in a car accident with my boyfriend, resulting in the fracture of my sternum as well as a small compression fracture in my lower back. Through further scans and testing, however, it has been discovered that I have a rare tumor on my pancreas, which would have only been discovered through the accident. I am due to be in recovery for my fractures for 6 weeks. In that time, I will have to use a back brace and walker to assist me in walking normally and on my own again. The biggest concern is the tumor and learning more about its effects on my body and what it means for my future. At the end of May, I was supposed to be starting my new adventure working for Disney, but now it will be delayed as I need to build strength and regain my health. I have started this GoFundMe to share my story, as well as to try and seek help as I will be out of work for a while and unable to pay for what I need on my own. Anything that you can spare will be appreciated and any support I receive is just one step closer to my recovery and beating whatever challenges I may face with my tumor.
