Hi, my name is Joshua. Life can change in an instant, and for me, that moment came just days before celebrating my 4-year anniversary of living in Florida this past October. I was diagnosed with colon cancer. Those words turned my world upside down, and now I’m gearing up for the fight of my life.

I’m currently preparing to start treatment—radiation and chemotherapy—within the next week or so. While I’m ready to do whatever it takes to beat this, the reality of cancer goes far beyond the physical battle. The financial strain is crushing. My insurance helps, but it doesn’t cover everything, and the bills keep coming. From medical expenses to everyday living costs, it feels like I’m drowning.

Through all of this, my partner Billy has been my rock. He’s taken on so much, more than anyone should have to. But I see the stress in his eyes, the weight of worrying about both my health and how we’ll keep up with these mounting bills. Billy’s love and support keep me going, but I hate seeing how hard this is on him.
