New update on José. Good news and bad news
After most of the rounds of chemo José had some more CT scans.
The Good News! The mass in his colon has gotten smaller if not completely gone!
Bad news. On the liver it has gotten bigger.
They have changed the chemo a little bit to a stronger medicine. He has one more round to go until they evaluate and see what his next steps are.
He is eating better, has gained some weight back from the initial chemo's, he is enjoying doing some small projects outside in the spring sunshine, trying to keep busy.

There is the mass in his colon, and spots in his lungs and liver. There is a spot on his illic-sacral pelvis and L2 vertebrae, those were causing extreme lower back pain. There has been radiation treatments on those and they have lessoned the symptoms of pain. Yay!
Please continue to think about José and supporting him! Your love and anything that you can give is surrounding him with hope!
Keep it up! José is NOT giving up!

Help José fight his battle of colon cancer! He is only 55 years young!
The oncologist is terrific. The cancer began in a mass in his rectal-colon, there are spots in his lung, on his liver, one on his L1 vertebrae, and one on his illio-sacrum.
She is going to knock it with chemo and a pump every two weeks. Her hope is to shrink, and stop its progression. José has an attitude of optimism, he is strong.
Other than this cancer he has kept his body in good shape. He has the support of the wonderful family he and Maria have built.

José needs your help with his medical bills, his stay at the hospital, cat-scans, MRI’s, for his diagnosis, his chemo and his surgery on his road to to knock this cancer out of his body! José and his family will face lots of financial challenges during this time. It is important that he is able to fully obtain all possible treatments.

Cruz asked why he would need math to be a Fireman, and José explains how he will use it!
José and Maria, Cruz and Karla live together on a small farm in near Paris. They live in a house José just renovated. Joel and his wife and daughter Nevaeh live in the main house. They grow an acre of lavender, a big garden, have two goats, some dogs, and many chickens. José takes Cruz and Karla to school every day.
