Update: At shortly after midnight 11/08/25, Joseph gained his wings. He fought so very hard. We would like to thank everyone who donated while he was undergoing treatment and his time in the Pediatric ICU. His Mom Michaela is heartbroken over the loss of her only child. He was 11 years old. She is now in need of support during this difficult time and is currently trying to make arrangements for his funeral.

My name is Constance Bowen and this is my Grandson Joseph. He was rushed to Trinity Hospital last week and transferred to John Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg where he was admitted. After undergoing numerous types of testing, multiple blood transfusions and bone marrow biopsies, it was determined that Joseph has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He just turned 11 years old last Saturday and attends Paul R. Smith Middle School in Holiday, FL where he is a Cambridge Program student. He was looking forward to being able to play basketball this year.

Joseph's mother Michaela is a single mother who works full time. She has since had to be out of work to be with her son at the hospital which is more than an hour away from their home. They have need of assistance for expenses to cover costs incurred during what is going to be a hospital stay of several weeks or more , along with living expenses at his home from his mother having to be out of work to be at the hospital during treatment.

Joseph is just at the beginning of his fight. He needs all the help we can give.
