Jonathan was in a serious car accident Tuesday April, 14th 2020. He was air lifted to Jefferson Trauma Unit in Philadelphia. Jonathan had multiple injuries including fractured pelvis, fractured ribs and internal bleeding. At this point they will be starting surgery on Monday to repair his pelvis. From there they will be doing an MRI on his back to see if further surgeries are needed.
As of Friday April 17th 2020, he was aware enough to respond to the voice commands to move his arms, legs and toes (was inconsistent but still a major improvement).
Since the Covid-19 virus is going around his parents and family are not able to visit him at this time. We are only able to video chat with him at this time which is hard because he is not awake yet. This is devastating for us not to be able to be there with him when he needs us but we are all staying strong and praying for the best!
Jonathan's father reached out to his high school and his tech school to let them know the situation and to make sure when he has recovered that he would be where he needs to. They ensured him that Jonathan has enough credits and amazing grades that he will pass this year no problem and has his classes for next year already selected. His school and teachers made sure we are only focused on his recovery and that school is taken care of and not a worry.
Jonathan is 17 years old junior at Quakertown High School. He is also in the tech program specializing in small engineering. Jonathan loves to be with his family and hanging out with his friends. He is a very hard worker not only in school but at his job. His goal is to attend Penn State University for engineering.
We are looking for all the thoughts and prayers for Jonathan as he is recovering at this time.
IF YOU HAVE ANY PICTURES, PLEASE SEND THEM TO HIS SISTER, Kassie Lynn ON FACEBOOK SO WE CAN SHARE ALL THE LOVING FRIENDS AND FAMILY JONATHAN HAS TO GIVE HIM THE STRENGTH AND SUPPORT HE NEEDS TO GET THROUGH THIS!
