Join Johnny’s Journey

It is with a heavy heart that we feel compelled to share our unfortunate news with family and friends at this time. Many of you have known Johnny Coleman through the vast La Mirada community, his success in AA, his caring smile and humor, as a member of the extensive Punk Rock Music family/scene, on the Frisbee Golf Course, or as a sibling of the Coleman Family. Also, as many you know, Johnny and his new wife, Courtney, are also raising 8 year old Zane together. Johnny is deeply cared for by all who meet him. He is described as brave, unselfish, funny, and positive even though the toughest of times. We know that he’ll bring his strength to this fight, as ALL of us rally to support him and his family.

Johnny was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, which has spread to his liver. His cancer is very aggressive and we are in need of your help at this time. The medical bills, and regular bills have piled up. Johnny has been unable to work, and has had to change health providers and jump through various hoops to seek the medical care that he needs. His intense therapy includes chemotherapy, immunotherapy, numerous medical appointments, and already nearly 10 trips to the ER as a result!

Our Coleman Family has had our share of unthinkable tragedy and loss, and we intend to stick together to battle this illness as hard and strong as we can. As we continue to process this diagnosis and face new challenges daily, we are asking for your help. All funds raised will be used for Johnny’s entire Journey, as each and every DAY is uncertain and unpromised. Every contribution makes a difference, and it would mean the world to us. Your kindness, prayers, and generosity are what keep Johnny going during this challenging time.
