Johnny & Bessie's Haiti Trip
Spring 2025
Hello friends,and blessings to you in the name of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ, who has freed us from the bondage of sin & secured our eternal destiny with Him!!
As you may have heard,Lord willing we plan to serve alongside Jason & Amanda Stoltzfus (for more info on them visit https://www.allianceus.org/haiti-project) this spring, tentatively end of April to end of May.Final dates are to be determined by the arrival of their newborns passport (due date mid-March)
I have served with Jason's on 4 short-term trips over the past few years.It has challenged me & grown me in ways not many other things possibly could!!I first served with them in August 2021,only about a month after Haiti's President was assassinated and a few weeks after a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck Jasons area, and in January of 2022 God very clearly called me to invest more of my life in Haiti!(Feel free to reach out for the full story!)
In the fall of 2024,Jason messaged me & said they would love to have some carpentry help with projects they are working on,including homes for widows/underprivileged in the area & the long-anticipated guest house.While we were busy at that time preparing for our wedding (Dec.5th),we acknowledged that we would pick it up in prayer afterward.Soon after we moved,I felt the Lord put a burden on my heart to seriously consider it in prayer,which we earnestly did for about 3 weeks before the Holy Spirit very clearly said "Go to Haiti".(again,feel free to reach out for the full story)
Thank you for checking into what the Lord is doing in our lives,and we invite you to join us in prayer & support!!Our mission can only succeed if the Lord's presence is with us,so we earnestly covet your prayers!!While we can travel down with financial help,our trip cannot succeed without prayer!!Satan is openly attacking the country,but we know the kingdom of darkness cannot prevail against the kingdom of light!(2 Corinth.4:1-5
Haiti is an incredible country,but unfortunately,the gang activity in the capital,Port-au-Prince, has made traveling a bit more complex, and as a result more expensive. Our estimated travel cost for the entire trip has come to $4600,not counting ongoing expenses from home(rent,electricity,etc.)If you feel called to support our mission, please send a check to
