JOIN JOEY'S FIGHT FOR LIFE

Our dear friend, Joey DiFrancisco, was recently diagnosed with stage 1-2 Pancreatic Cancer and he's in the fight of his life. Joey is 63, lives in Montana, and has run his own painting company for years as a one-man operation. He's well known to the communities he's served consisting of Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls, West Yellowstone, Tioga, ND, and many other areas. Unfortunately, due to the nature and physicality of his work, Joey has been struggling to make ends meet. Now with mounting medical bills, loss of work, and costly treatments to battle this horribly deadly disease, he needs all our prayers and significant financial help. Joey has always been in tiptop shape with diet and exercise as a way of life. He's lost almost 40 pounds in the last two months, he can't eat much, and he's in considerable pain. As you can imagine he's devastated in every way.

This past weekend, Joey flew to Denver's UC Health Pancras and Biliary Multidisciplinary Center on the Anschutz Medical Campus to meet with their medical team for testing to determine the progress of the cancer and map out a treatment plan. From those tests doctors confirmed a 2" circular mass on his pancreas in a very difficult and dangerous location. The plan of action is for Joey to begin two months of aggressive chemotherapy in an attempt to shrink the tumor followed by a complex procedure known as The Whipple Procedure. This surgery is incredibly challenging and if successful Joey faces a long and difficult recovery.

In addition to the medical treatments, the loss of his ability to work as usual, and the impending surgery, Joey will need to travel from Billings to Denver for a series of checkups during his chemo treatments. These trips will be expensive including costs for flights, hotels, and food which all adds to the stress he's under.

Joey is a kind and hardworking man who's always been there for his friends and family. He's spent the bulk of his life serving others through his painting gift. He's worked tirelessly to support himself and now he needs our support to fight a battle no one should face alone. As his friends and family, we are rallying together to raise funds that will help him with his medical expenses, travel, loss of income during his treatment, and any other financial need he may have.
