Joey Gossage Memorial Fund

It is with deep sorrow that we update this GoFundMe page to inform you that Joey lost his battle with cancer Sunday morning, April 7, 2019. He entered the arms of Jesus peacefully in his sleep.

We appreciate your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Joey had glioblastoma (GBM), an aggressive, malignant grade IV brain tumor. Glioblastoma is the most aggressive and fastest-growing type of brain tumor.

Joey was a young age of 37. He is survived by his wife Amy and 2-year-old son, Eli. Eli is their miracle baby, after having 6 miscarriages they were blessed with their son. Eli had open heart surgery when he was only 3 months old. God healed Eli so he is now an active toddler.

Joey lost his battle with cancer Sunday morning, April 7, 2019. He entered the arms of Jesus peacefully in his sleep.

Joey had a brain tumor removed from his left frontal lobe in 2014, which doctors classified as a grade II astrocytoma (a malignant brain tumor where cancerous tissue mixes with healthy tissue). On 11/19/18, he had a second tumor removed from the same location. We received the heartbreaking call on 11/27/18 that Joey had glioblastoma (GBM), an aggressive, malignant grade IV brain tumor. Glioblastoma is the most aggressive and fastest-growing type of brain tumor.

Thank you to all who generously donated while Joey was undergoing treatment. He felt loved by your generosity. We still need your help! Both of Joey's parents have passed on; his father on 11/21/07, and his mother recently on 11/20/18. Please consider donating to help with expenses, arrangements, and a fund for Eli's future. Anything helps!
