If you know Jodi, you know what it means to fight with your whole heart.

Jodi is a fierce, compassionate, and unwavering advocate for the forgotten…especially the dumped, stray, and shelter dogs that so many others overlook. She has spent countless hours rescuing, advocating, transporting, fostering, and fighting for those without a voice. Most (of the dog world) know her from when she so bravely fought for a dog named Garth. She saved his life, little did she know she was going to have to turn around and fight for her own life, months later. Now, it’s our turn to be her voice. Our turn to fight for her.

Jodi is once again facing ovarian cancer. A relentless battle she has fought for over 15 years. She was first diagnosed in 2009 and has courageously faced recurrences in 2017, 2020, 2022, and now once again. Earlier last year, her scans showed a small return of the disease, but doctors held off on treatment. Sadly, her most recent scans revealed progression in her tumors, and she is now preparing to begin chemotherapy again.

Through it all, Jodi has remained strong, determined, and full of love for others, especially the animals she champions. But cancer is exhausting, not only physically and emotionally, but financially. Medical bills, time off work, travel, and treatment costs will take a toll. Especially with her being a single mom.
