Join Joanne's 40th Birthday Charity Mission

Dear Friends, Family, Colleagues, and Supporters,

This year, I’ll be celebrating a milestone - my 40th birthday! Instead of gifts, I’m asking for something different: your support for a mission trip that’s incredibly close to my heart.

I’ve been offered an amazing opportunity to join the TMT Foundation on a charity mission trip to Vietnam in July, where we’ll be serving families in rural communities who are facing hunger and extreme poverty. We’ll be delivering food packages for adults and school supplies for children, essentials many of them live without every day.

Since 2016, TMT Foundation has delivered over 22,000 care packages in 30 underdeveloped regions in Vietnam with the help of 1,000+ volunteers. That’s over 12,000 families they’ve served: 4,900 people with disabilities, 2,700 students, 2,600 children, and over 400 eye surgeries.

This will be my first mission trip to Vietnam, and as a Vietnamese-American, this journey is deeply meaningful. It’s a chance to reconnect with my heritage, honor my family’s roots, and serve those who remind me of the stories and struggles of my own family. I feel honored to be a small part of something so much bigger than myself.

To make this mission possible, I’m fundraising to cover the cost of travel, lodging, and, most importantly, supplies for the families and children we’ll be serving. An average food care package for adults or a children's care package for school is $20. My goal is to raise $5,000, and every dollar will go directly toward making this mission a reality.
