Hello everyone- we need your help!

 

We are reaching out on behalf of Jackie, Javier and their little boys, Luca (2yr) and Mateo (6months). J&J have chosen a life of service in healthcare, Jackie as a nurse in interventional radiology, and Javier as a radiology technologist in the cath lab, both working with kids and adults, providing excellent care for over a decade. Both are loved and respected by their co-workers, families and patients for their hard work, kindness and passion for helping others. They are an incredible asset to Stanford Children’s Hospital and their community.

 

Jackie was recently diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and has started treatment this week. We are optimistic and filled with hope and faith that the chemotherapy and drug trial are successful so that she and Javier can continue to enjoy watching their little babies grow for years to come.

 

J&J need help with this huge obstacle as childcare, treatment, and everyday costs are already getting steep quickly with Jackie’s absence from work to fight this monster. She is eager to get back to work to continue to care for her patients and to support her family, but she needs to face this cancer head-on for the following year or two.  J&J need an army of family and friends (and friends of friends) to get them through this.

 

As a nurse, friend, daughter, sister, wife, auntie, and mother, Jackie has always extended unbelievable thoughtfulness and kindness to everyone in her life. We want to make sure she feels that same care and support now. Any donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated and will be instant good karma ;-)
