Hello, my name is Jill Farris and I am in need of a heart transplant. Let me tell you a little about my story. I had a heart attack.  Two days later, I had a quadruple bypass. By December the grafts had failed, and the doctors told me I had 6 months to 2 years to live. I would not accept that fate and asked them to give a referral to UAB in Birmingham, AL. I have been going to the Advanced Heart Failure Clinic since. They have treated me with medications, but I have maxed out on the allowable dosages, and there is nothing they can do except a heart transplant at this point. I am a woman of faith, and I know God has been holding my hand the entire journey, and He will not forsake me!!!

I applied for Social Security disability. I have advanced coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, diabetes, and end-stage heart disease. I was denied. I filed an appeal, which they show they received. I have a terminal illness; my attorney has sent them a form stating that I am in dire need of my disability and it should be expedited!! I have called them numerous times!!! My transplant coordinator has faxed them all the requested medical records and still nothing!!!

I need to move to Birmingham, AL, so that I can be near the hospital and all my doctors. I have not been able to work since I had the heart attack!! I have relied on my family and friends to provide for me, thinking I would receive my disability any day. I need to get moved as soon as I can. I have to be near the hospital to be on the transplant list. I am in need of funds to help me get moved to a safe place to live near UAB. I hate asking for help, but if you can, please help. Any amount is so greatly appreciated!! I will be updating my journey on Social Media.
