I’d like to tell you a very touching story.
My name is Darrel and I frequent a lot of wonderful restaurants in Los Angeles.
There is a Bus Boy named Jesus who works in one of the restaurants and I’ve gotten to know him over the years.

(Jesus pictured above)
He’s been a Bus Boy for over 20 years.
He is extremely hard-working and is always available to serve your table, clear your table of dishes, and serve you and your guests cocktails and dessert. The thing about Jesus is that he always gives of himself and he never asks anything of anybody.
So one day, I asked him what his dreams were in life. I could tell that he was hesitant at first because he’s just a very proud man and didn’t wanna talk about adversities in his life.
He finally told me that he wanted to help his family so they can be healthy and to finish a house he has been building in Oaxaca, Mexico.

When I heard more of his story, it touched my heart and by reading this, I hope it will touch your heart as well.
Jesus has been working on his home in Mexico for a very long time.

(The house he’s building for this family)
Every four to six months when he saves up a couple thousand dollars he sends it to Mexico and the workmen then continue again working on his home.
His dream is to finish the house and then when he retires he will have a place for himself and his family to live.

(Jesus with his family)
But recently something occurred in his family that made him redirect his efforts and his money.
His beloved father was diagnosed with a severe case of diabetes, and the doctors instructed Jesus that his father did not have a lot of money to pay for the surgeries to repair the veins in his leg so they would just remove the entire leg as there was a lack of blood flow.

(Jesus’s father Nabor being treated in the hospital)
In Mexico, if you have a small amount of money they will choose the easiest option and simply amputate the entire leg.
But Jesus wanted to give his father every opportunity.

(Nador and Ernestina - Jesus’s mom and dad)
Jesus decided to send his life savings which he wanted to use for the house in the amount of $20,000 to help pay for his fathers medical bills.
(Progress pictures of the house he’s building)
So Jesus sent the money and the doctors now had the money necessary to repair his dad’s leg but still needed to amputate his toes and most of his foot.
So for this GoFundMe, I’m asking you to donate whatever you can afford for two reasons.
I want Jesus to have the money to continue to send home to help his dad with future operations, and to be healthy.
I also want to raise an amount of money that Jesus can use to finish his home.
I provided a number of photos of Jesus with his father and his family so you can get to know this kind gentleman.

Thank you for your help with this.
Sincerely,
Darrel.
