Hey y'all,
Our friend Jessica is the mother of Dragon. Not dragons- just one Dragon. He is a cat. He's clearly ferocious because obviously Dragon's are- FEROCIOUS. I mean, look at him. You are probably scared just from his photo!!! Jessica and her human daughter, Berlin, have been Dragon's family for many years and they all love each other very much.
Most people don't know that the thing about dragons in general is that they are sometimes very delicate. That's what we just learned, also. On this past Sunday, this particular Dragon was just not feeling right. Poor beastie couldn't even potty properly! Dragons- ammiright?! A necessary (and an always $$$ emergency vet visit), led Jessica to learn that poor Dragon had a bladder blockage. Who even knew dragons had bladders??!!!
Needless to say, since then there has been a whirlwind of veterinary intervention, and with that- veterinary bills. All of us with pets know what a shock to our system and pocketbook this can be. Pets are a part of our family, and we will do all things within our capability to keep our family together. It started as a shocking $4200 of care, to suddenly needing additional thousands for surgical care. Whew! He made it through!
What Jessica and Berlin didn't count on is that Dragons can be very, VERY delicate. He was sent home and hopes were high, but then suddenly he became immobile. So freaking scary on top of all the scare he already went through! Turns out, after seeing a Dragon Neurologist, it was discovered he'd had a blood clot due to his surgeries, and now we are all hoping the meds are going to keep him safe and clear that issue up right away. He has some follow up appointments and care that he will need in the near future.
So this is where they stand thus far- thousands of dollars in, a slowly recovering Dragon, Care Credit maxed out, and fingers crossed. So if you feel so inclined, and maybe want some good dragon karma, this Dragon (and especially his mom and sister) could really use some help with the cost of getting his dragon fire back to full flame.
Thanks Y'all!!!!
