Hello! My name is Jennika (pronounced Yennika) and I am hoping to establish a non-profit organization dedicated to providing help to animals. First to the stray cats in my neighborhood, but eventually to all animals as far as I can reach.

A little about me: I am an animal lover who moved from Finland to Texas to be with my husband, Cory. After moving, I noticed the large number of stray cats in the area. My husband introduced me to a friend who did TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release) for stray cats in Austin. I learned everything I could from them, and they helped me to start TNR in my neighborhood.

Now, TNR has been a side project for a couple of years, but the costs and logistics involved have made it difficult to do consistently. I have witnessed several cats' lives needlessly ended due to being unable to get them help. Usually because the costs were astronomical ($6000 for emergency surgery to fix a kitten's infected eye).

I've decided I want to be able to do more. I want to start something bigger so these vulnerable animals can get the help they need. For that, I need your help.

These donations will be used to start the non-profit and also help with TNR for the next 3 months. Here is an estimated breakdown of how it would be used.

$300 - Non-profit registration and 501(c)(3) filing.
$480 - Spay/Neuter TNR fees of $16/cat, 10 cats/month.
$60 - Transportation to/from TNR/vets. About $5 a week.
$200 - Food and treats for preventing starvation and trapping bait.
$1,200 - Vet costs. Estimate about $400/month.

Any excess donations will be used for extreme vet bills or to sustain this for longer than 3 months. So please, whatever you can spare will help. Every penny will go towards animals in need.
