Support Jazelle's Fight Against Leukemia Relapse

Hi my name is Jade Concha, I truly appreciate you reading this. I’ve set up a GoFundMe page for my 11 year old twin daughter Jazelle.
Our brave girl, who enjoys school, building legos, drawing, crocheting and playing basketball with her sister Cookee.
Leading up to the diagnosis she was experiencing cold and cough the whole month of November and December. Several trips to the ER resulted as flu like symptoms and they gave her cough medicine but we knew something was wrong. She started having frequent nosebleeds that would last more than 20 minutes. Then 3am of December 15, 2022 she woke up with chills and another nosebleed that lasted more than an hour. 911 told us to take her to the ER. Her blood levels were so low (hemoglobin 9.2, white blood cells 2.2, platelets 27) from there she was transferred to their pediatric unit where she was admitted. Doctors confirmed through bone marrow biopsy on December 17, 2022 Jaz was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia B-Cell)
Our whole world changed overnight it was like an out of body experience when the doctor told us. We were in disbelief how could this happen, we had so many questions but even then as the doctor explained her diagnosis and treatment plan all my mind could think about was can my baby girl survive this? and as tears filled my eyes I remember stepping out and taking a moment to praying to God, please give us the strength and courage to overcome this battle and not to take her away from us.
It took some time to process and we had to explain to our girls what was happening. We had to adjust and adapt quickly to our new normal. Jaz received treatment immediately at Kaiser Permanente and the next 16 months of her journey were filled with hospital admissions, grueling chemotherapy treatments, blood transfusions and dealing with side effects.
There were many scary moments for us. She was hospitalized a dozen times throughout her treatment. The toughest ones were the three times for two weeks each time. First, was stroke like symptoms, second was an infection and the third was toxicity from one of the medications. As a parent nothing could ever prepare you for this, watching your child fight for their life at such a young age. There were days I couldn't sleep, worried and fearful of what's to come but I was always reminded through praise and worship that God was our ultimate healer, our way maker, our light in the darkness. We have felt God's perfect love and healing throughout this journey with the support of family and friends.
Finally on February 2024 she was cleared by her doctor to go back to school and finish her 5th grade year with her twin sister and classmates who she has known since TK. Jaz enjoyed every moment of being back in school. Everyday she would tell me something new she learned, all the friends who were supporting her and be excited to go back the next day all while taking her oral chemotherapy medications, which was part of her maintenance phase.
Unfortunately after being in remission Jaz relapsed. During one of her spinal taps on May 14, 2024 doctors confirmed her Leukemia is back again in her central nervous system and bone marrow.
This unexpected relapse broke our hearts. Just as you think the end is in sight and she's gone through so much, now she has to go back and do it all over again for the next two years.
She already has a treatment plan in place which will consist of a more aggressive treatment this time around with high dose chemotherapy and radiation to the brain and spine. After she will need to be transferred out to City of Hope to undergo a bone marrow transplant.
Jaz has another tough road ahead but seeing her strength and resilience all throughout her treatment we know she will fight through this again. She continues to have a positive mindset knowing she still has goals to achieve and a greater purpose in life. She is such an inspiration to us all and she knows the Lord will get her through this. We continue to trust in Him.
Please help me raise funds for Jaz's medical bills as she is set to start her next treatment with hospital stays, prescriptions, chemotherapy treatment, radiation, a bone marrow transplant and any other unexpected expenses that may arise. It would help alleviate some of that financial burden. This is so my husband and I are able to focus on Jaz and help her battle leukemia once more. Any amount your hearts are willing to give is helpful. But not mandatory. We just wanted to share her journey with you all.
We are a family of faith and we believe in the power of prayer, please continue to pray for our brave girl.
It's truly a powerful feeling that Jaz is able to continue fighting when she know she has the love and support.
Thank you everyone and God bless you all #fightforjazee
