Jason Jensen is a long time community volunteer
and an amazing father, brother, son, cousin and
friend. Many in the West Garden Grove
Community know Jason through his years of
volunteer service in AYSO Region 59, his
volunteering at his daughters’ schoolsplumber and contractor. 

Jason’s health challenges began in 2009 with a 
diagnosis of stage 2 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma at
the age of 30. After nine long months of
chemotherapy, Jason has been in remission for 
nine years. Unfortunately,  this month Jason has 
been diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia.
The treatment for this condition requires a
lengthy hospitalization with twice daily
chemotherapy. The most difficult part for Jason is being away from his two daughters, Hannah and
Emma. Jason truly is the most devoted father to
his girls. He is very involved and NEVER misses
their activities, games or events. In fact, despite
being in immense pain from his illness, Jason
waited until the conclusion of a Hannah’s Cross
Country Meet and Emma’s soccer game to drive
himself to the emergency room. 

Jason is self-employed and has already missed
over two weeks of work while undergoing testing
to determine the type of cancer attacking his body. Jason was admitted to the hospital October 23rd
and is facing weeks of inpatient treatment
followed by months (possibly years) of outpatient
treatment upon discharge from the hospital. 

As you can imagine, his expenses are piling up
while being out of work throughout this
challenging time. Many are asking what they can
do to help. A meal schedule has been arranged for the girls and any donations to the gofundme are

Jason has a long, tough road ahead but is facing it with a powerful attitude and complete confidence that we will ONCE AGAIN prevail over cancer!
