Hi, my name is Isaac Reyes — I’m a civil engineer and math educator, and I’ve created a program that helps 5th and 6th grade students overcome their fear of math and discover confidence, resilience, and joy through learning.
The program is called Think Before You Solve — because math isn't just about numbers. It's about thinking, reflecting, and discovering your own power.
For many years, I’ve worked with students from underserved communities, especially those who’ve been told they’re “not good at math.” I’ve seen the moment when a child finally understands, smiles, and realizes they can do it — and everything changes.
Now, I’m offering a free 10-week in-person pilot program for local students — and I need your help to bring it to life.
What Makes This Program Special:
It accelerates students from basic math to pre-algebra faster than traditional schools.
It teaches mindset: confidence, self-worth, and the courage to keep going when things are hard.
It helps kids learn how to learn — and how to help others along the way.
I’m funding this out of my own pocket, and I’ll never charge families who can’t afford it.
How You Can Help:
Your donation helps pay for:
Educational supplies and materials
Classroom space and outreach
Flyers, forms, and translated materials
Snacks and incentives for kids
Long-term expansion of the program to more communities
Even $25 makes a difference. If you believe that every child deserves a fair chance to succeed — especially in math — this is your chance to support something that works.
Thank you for helping me make this real.
Together, we can build minds — and change lives.
