Join us in support of Greg Lisella's wife & kids

On the afternoon of Wednesday April 20th while golfing with his friends, Greg went into sudden cardiac arrest. His best friend immediately began CPR and was shortly joined by EMS who began advanced resuscitation and continued defibrillation efforts. He was brought by ambulance with a LUCAS device to Hudson Valley Hospital where all staff worked their hardest to get Greg’s heart restarted and stable. Specialized staff were able to get him on an ECMO machine and transferred to Columbia in NYC. Tragically, despite the exhausted efforts of medical teams, physicians and nurses, Greg’s body and heart were unable to support his continued fight. Maggie received the call early Friday morning that Greg’s heart had stopped. He was 37 years old.

Greg Lisella is forever loved by his wife and true soulmate Maggie Lisella, his father Jerry Lisella, his mother Bonnie Lisella, his sister(s) Sarah (Sheldon Dalton), Ali, and Becca Lisella, his brother Gerard Lisella, two nephews, Logan Dalton and Landon Borges, a niece Paisley Borges, and a large extended family. He blessed this world leaving behind three beautiful children; Sophia (12), Mason (3), and Lucian (7 wks). Greg is so very loved and will be missed by many, many friends and extended family.

The news of his passing has left those of us who knew and loved him in a state of utter shock and disbelief. Greg is well known for his quick smile, wise-ass sense of humor, kind soul, eternal optimism, and love of family. Anyone lucky enough to cross his path could not help falling in love with his infectious personality, beautiful soul and one-of-a-kind laugh that could make anyone smile no matter what kind of day they were having. He had an easygoing attitude which reminded us all to find enjoyment in and around all that life seemed to hand you.  All those around him have witnessed the  devotion and complete adoration Greg  had for his wife Maggie. The true joy that he took in being a husband and father was apparant in every moment you saw him with his family. Greg effortlessly made the time-regardless the day, to make his wife smile and his kids find fun, somehow managing to make any and every task an adventure for them.
To say that he will be dearly missed by all who knew him is an understatement.

While nothing can ease the pain that his family is going through right now, it is our hope that through the generosity of those whose lives Greg touched and the generosity of our community as a whole, we can provide his family with some kind of relief during this unimaginable time of need and for the years to come. We are all so grateful for your continued prayers and emotional support for Maggie, his young children and the entire blended family during this overwhelming and devastating time.

During this difficult time, we are respectfully asking that everyone refrain from contacting the family directly about this fundraiser. If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us here directly.
