On April 16th, tragedy struck our family when a fire tore through my aunt Cook-Cook’s home. The same home that has been in our family for generations. In a matter of hours, decades of memories, family history, and cherished belongings were reduced to ashes.

This wasn’t just any house. It was our family’s anchor. The home my grandparents built, where birthdays were celebrated, holidays brought everyone together, and where laughter echoed through the halls for over several years. My aunt, who has lived there her entire life, is now left without a place to call home and has lost just about everything she owned.

While we are incredibly thankful she made it out safely, the road ahead is overwhelming. She is now facing the daunting task of rebuilding her life from the ground up.

We are asking for your help to support her in this unimaginable time. Every donation, no matter how small will go directly toward helping her with immediate needs such as temporary housing, clothing, daily essentials, and eventually, rebuilding the home that has meant so much to our family.
