We are extremely grateful and can’t say how much your help has meant to us during these difficult times.
We would love to give Mahogany the memorial and burial she deserves, as well as cover any additional funeral expenses. We still need your help reaching our goals , together we can honor Mahogany and give her a dignified send off by sharing and supporting this gofundme.
Thank you

Update 06/11/23:

Your support and contributions have helped Mahogany get the care we hoped for. Mahogany was accepted by a nonprofit hospice care organization which is not governed by the State of Nevada Insurance. What this means, Mahogany is now able to keep her diabetes treatment and insulin therapy while receiving 24 hr. comfort care. Your generosity has meant so.. much in support of Mahogany's end of life care. The contribution amount has now been adjusted and the amount reflects Mahogany's pre- burial needs. I will respectfully continue to give updates and express our thankfulness for your continued support.

Sincerely,
Quenzella Dunn & Mahogany Williams.

My name is Quenzella Dunn (Quen). I am asking for your contributions.
On January 25, 2021, our lives changed forever.
My firstborn, Mahogany Williams at age 42, had an anoxic brain injury.
Mahogany experienced a seizure while alone in her daily routine, as a result of the seizure she lost a significant amount of oxygen to her brain.

My daughter was hospitalized for months and later became a resident of a long-term care facility.
It has been a sad and rough journey for Mahogany and her children.

Mahogany's younger daughter expresses her emotions. “I know only God knows why he does what he does but I just wish that It didn't have to be now, also she only got to hold her granddaughter, Nova once”. "I wish there was something we could do to help momma".

As some may know or only imagine anoxic brain damage is one of the hardest things to see a loved one suffer from.

Mahogany managed and functioned daily with Diabetes, Multiple Sclerosis, Chronic Pain and Seizures for the last 15 years of her adult life.

This particular seizure led to anoxic brain damage. Mahogany immediately lost her ability to speak and walk. My daughter's vision and hearing also became impaired.

Mahogany is truly a strong woman and a testimony to many for such strength and courage, yet a kind, gentle and loving spirit. Mahogany was always there for her family as a Mother, Wife, Sister and wonderful Daughter.

Mahogany is the Mother of 5 children, young adults and teens, ages 16 - 25, and grandmother of one, age 2 years old whose lives suddenly changed forever.
Mahogany is declining and now facing palliative care.

Your financial help would go towards continued medical diabetes treatment, insulin therapy, and burial.

We cannot do this alone financially. Without your help, Mahogany is at risk of the State of Nevada and the Federal Government removing medical treatment which is considered effective, but not cost-effective.
Mahogany would also have to experience and suffer through more pain and discomfort, declining rapidly until death.

Your caring contributions will help relieve Mahogany and her children of emotional stress, and financial burdens and bring them peace of mind.

Please help us allow Mahogany Williams to comfortably and peacefully transition to her end-of-life.
