Join Huey's Battle Against Cancer

Dear friends and family,

I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart but also with hope. My dear friend Huey, who has been like a brother to my husband, has recently been diagnosed with Stage III Small Cell Carcinoma Lung Cancer. This devastating news has shaken our community, but we know that with support, Huey can fight this battle.

Huey is scheduled to start chemotherapy and radiation therapy very soon, and he will need to travel for his treatments five days a week. The journey is about an hour’s drive each way, and unfortunately, he won’t be able to drive himself during this time. His loving wife, Christy, who works as a 911 dispatcher, and their teenage daughter will be by his side, helping him get to these crucial appointments.

As you can imagine, this situation will put a significant financial strain on their family. Christy works long 12-hour shifts full-time, and while they are focused on Huey’s health, everyday expenses and travel costs are mounting.

I’m setting up this GoFundMe to help alleviate some of the financial burden. Your contributions will go directly towards gas for their trips to appointments and any additional expenses that may arise during this difficult time.

Huey is a fighter, and if anyone can beat this, it’s him. He has a loving wife, children, and grandchildren who need him. Your support—whether through financial contributions, positive words, or prayers—will mean the world to them.
