Although this is not something I ever thought that I would be doing, it is now becoming too hard for me to be able to handle on my own, as a single mother. My daughter, Hope, was diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis when she was around 4 years old. It is a condition where her body can’t stop tumor growth in numerous places and organs in her body. She has many at the moment, in both her brain and in her kidneys. While her insurance covers 90% of the medical expenses, there are still other things that her insurance will not cover. When she was recently taken to the dentist for a routine visit and after getting x-rays done, I was informed that she now had two different growths in her gums that are causing her issues with her teeth and jaw. Her dental insurance refuses to cover the costs of the surgery that she desperately needs in order to make her more comfortable and to reduce further issues. This whole experience has been extremely traumatic and stressful to say the least. I have been encouraged by my family and friends to finally take the leap and ask others for help since I can only do so much by myself. Please, if anyone could help with any amount at all, it would be tremendously helpful, and me and my daughter would be forever grateful. I am just trying to ensure that my daughter can get the best care so that she can continue to live happily while we continue facing these constant challenges in this journey, we call life. Thank you so much to anyone who took the time to read this. You are very appreciated.
