We're sharing his story today with love, strength, and hope.

He recently went through a life-changing, 12-hour maxillofacial surgery to remove a tumor from his lower jaw. Thankfully, it wasn’t cancer—but the journey has still been incredibly hard. To rebuild his jaw, doctors had to remove bone from his leg and completely reconstruct his lower jaw. All of his bottom teeth had to be removed in the process.

He spent weeks in the hospital, had a tracheotomy to help him breathe, and a feeding tube to survive. He had to relearn how to walk, how to talk, and is still working through recovery. Even now, he’s unable to eat most foods because he doesn’t have a bottom set of teeth.

While his surgery and hospital care were covered, the full dental implants needed to restore his mouth are not—and they’re essential for him to eat, speak, and live fully again.
