In honor of our beautiful Marguerite

My name is Barbara Newman. This is in honor of my beautiful niece, Marguerite Kabula, who is my brother Craig’s daughter. The following has been written by my daughter Nikki Schultek, Marguerite’s cousin:

”To be in Marguerite’s presence is a chance to feel light. Her warmth, love of laughter and generosity of spirit live on in all of us fortunate enough to call her “ours”. The soul of Marguerite lives on in her beautiful children, family, and countless friends.

She fought bravely and tirelessly for 15 years against a thief that steals most people in mere months. Marguerite has a spirit that transcends human life as we know it.

No one will capture the magnitude of the loss felt by Marguerites’s passing with words.

The best any of us can do is love the people that Marguerite loves with all her heart and soul.

Marguerite learned her gift of kindness and generosity through her parents, Marguerite (Marge) and Craig Smith.

Medical expenses incurred over her indomitable battle have left the ones she loves the most in a position of need.

As a community that loves Marguerite and had the chance to be in her light , let’s link hands and hearts through this fundraiser.

Easing the burden of funeral and medical expenses is one way that we can show our love and support in Marg’s honor. All that know her realize this is exactly what she would do if someone else needed her love and light. “
