Hi, my name is Marti Woolridge Bender, and I've been friends with Kristi Stowell Cole since 7th grade.

Her husband, Harry, suffered a fall a few weeks ago and has been bedridden since. His prognosis is he will need hospice care for the foreseeable future. I am raising money to help with the cost of caregivers required 24 hours a day.

As usual, Kristi is by his side. However, they need caregivers around the clock to help feed, turn, bathe, and care for Harry, who is now unable to do anything for himself.

Harry and Kristi...Kristi and Harry...it's impossible to think of either without the other. They've been married since 1978, and you never see one without the other. Theirs is a true love story, and it's heartbreaking to watch Kristi go through this journey alone. I want to ease the burden by helping with the enormous healthcare bills and the ongoing need for caregivers.

While Medicare covers hospital bills for the most part, caregivers are not, and the cost is astounding besides the intrusion of people into their homes day and night.
