Hailee is one of the kindest, hardest-working people we know. She is the type of person who shows up for everyone around her, and right now, she needs her community to show up for her. Her family is going through so much, and they’re holding on to hope while navigating an unimaginable situation.

On Sunday night into early Monday morning, Hailee was rushed to Kootenai Hospital for emergency open heart surgery after her aorta tore and one of her valves was damaged. The surgery saved her life, but she had to remain on a breathing tube for four days to keep her stable.

Just as her family and doctors were starting to see progress, everything changed. Hailee suffered a stroke, causing a clot in her left artery. This major setback has left her struggling to move and control the right side of her body, and she’s also having difficulty with her speech.

We are currently waiting to see if Hailee shows enough progress, or if she will need to undergo a second surgery. Her family is holding their breath every day, praying for the best outcome.

Through all of this, Hailee has shown incredible strength. She is fighting. But the road to recovery will be long. Hailee will not be able to work as she focuses on healing and rehabilitation.
