I am raising funds to complete and publish my book, "Driftwood Saints" Every contributor will be listed in the credits unless requested otherwise. Every contributor will have free access to the serialized digital version of the book.
The book is the story of a young man saved by Christ, drifted away from faith into a secular lifestyle, buffeted by the conflicts of a torn soul, then rescued by a prodigal return to peace in the Lord. It is a true story because it is my story.
My journey examines many of the personal, political and ideological trials that Christians face in 21st century America and reveals a path to peace through surrender to God's grace.
My Journey and Calling
Seven years ago, the Lord called me to use the gifts of writing and teaching He gave me to serve His kingdom. I have been diligently working on this mission, and for the past two years, I have shared my teachings and insights through my website, ChristianSoldier21.org. This platform now hosts over 60 essays that delve into various aspects of living a Christ-centered life in today's world. Those essays are the drafts of much of the writing that will form the book.
The goal of transforming my story into a book is to further unite Christians around the core principles of peace and Christ-like living. In a time when cultural and ideological divides are deepening, " Soldier of the Longest War " seeks to offer real world applications of Bible-based truth that inspire peace and understanding.
To bring this vision to fruition, I need to raise $7,850. This amount will cover the unfunded costs associated with writing, editing, publishing, and promoting the book.
Background and Work So Far
For nearly 30 years, I worked as a software consultant and trainer, during which time I wrote numerous technical manuals, training course curriculums, and newspaper columns.
After being called to write and teach God’s truth, I completed over 200 hours of classroom training in theology, pastoral ministry, philosophy and apologetics. I have over 2000 entries organized by topic in my Evernote notebooks to edit and post for this project. I also have more than 60 books in my library that have sticky-note bookmarks of references for this work. These experiences have honed my skills in writing and teaching, equipping me to undertake this project.
The Mission
My mission extends beyond this book. I aim to continue offering Bible-based resources through study programs and interactive online resources that resonate with American Christians and foster an environment of peace and understanding, even amidst differing cultural and ideological views.
Your support will play a crucial role in completing and sharing the teaching of "Driftwood Saints" with a broader audience. Any contribution, no matter how small, brings me one step closer to achieving this mission.
Please know that your generosity is deeply appreciated. I am committed to acknowledging all contributions and you can check on the project's progress through my website and email updates.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting my work Together, we can make a difference and spread the message of Christ's peace and love.
Yours Coram Deo,
