Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
I’m reaching out in one of the most vulnerable moments of my life, something I never imagined having to do. Recently, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. After a month of unbearable pain and being unable to go to the bathroom, I finally went to the ER. A CAT scan revealed a tumor the size of a golf ball.
Within hours, I was rushed into emergency surgery, where they removed half of my colon and the tumor. I spent 14 long days in the hospital recovering and was discharged just last Saturday. Now, I’m adjusting to life with a colostomy bag and facing the reality of being unable to work for at least six weeks as I heal.
As someone who has always been fiercely independent and proud, asking for help feels incredibly difficult. But with mounting medical bills, household expenses, and no source of income during this time, I’ve realized I can’t get through this alone.
Your support—no matter how small—would mean the world to me. Every donation will go toward medical costs, basic living expenses, and keeping my head above water while I focus on healing and fighting this battle.
If you’re unable to give, I completely understand. Even sharing this campaign with others who may be able to help would make a huge difference.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your kindness and generosity during this challenging time would mean everything to me.
With love and gratitude,
Gio
