Imagine…having just given birth to a brand new baby and then being told your whole life is about to change, but nowhere near like you expected.
Hello, my name is Rachael and the incredible Georgia Scott, is my little sister.
If you know Georgia you know that she is the most generous, empathetic and awesome woman!
The beautiful characteristics we know and love about her are matched by her darling husband Matt and their gorgeous little girls, Nora (2) and London (3 weeks).
What has been going on?
Georgia recently had a beautiful pregnancy and a wonderful natural delivery of her new baby girl London.
However, Georgie was feeling incredibly exhausted (too tired to continue every day tasks) and breathless at two weeks postpartum and along with some other symptoms, presented to ED.
Her symptoms seemed to align with pneumonia or a chest infection, but turned out to be a lot more complex and she was admitted to ICU that night!
What did doctors discover?
CT scans, PET scans, blood work was all completed quite swiftly. The CT scan revealed a large blood clot on Georgias lung, near her heart. Blood thinners were started immediately. Some other unidentified masses were found on her colon and liver and were tested.
Test results have now come back positive for stage 4 bowel cancer. What a shock!
This was so not the news this beautiful family were anticipating. BUT God is able! This family is full of faith and are commanding this sickness to leave Georgias body and for chemotherapy to be extraordinarily effective!
What has the response been to this:
Slowly, family, friends, church members, work colleagues and neighbours are being informed of the news and are desperate to help!
Georgia is unwavering in her faith. She is boldly confessing Gods word of life, The Holy Bible, over her body.
She has now prematurely finished up breastfeeding baby London as to start high dose chemotherapy, to completely eradicate any sickness within her.
What are we able to do?
1) Pray with boldness. Declare sickness leaves from Georgias body.
2) Use your words to speak LIFE over her. Life and death are in the power of the tongue and we can build her up with our faith words.
2) Give financial support. No matter how small or big.
How will finances help?
With the financial support we can raise together, this family will have one less thing to think about during Georgias treatment and her husband Matt will be able to be present alongside her, rather than working at this time.
Thank you for your love, prayer and support for Georgia, Matt, Nora and London.
