Just weeks ago, Gavin was a joyful, energetic 4-year-old, lighting up every room he entered. What began as a lingering cough led to devastating news—a mass covering his left lung, fluid surrounding his heart, and, ultimately, a leukemia diagnosis that turned his family’s world upside down.

My name is Sky, and I’ve known Gavin’s mom, Kim, since childhood. Having battled both breast and bone cancer myself, I know how brutal chemotherapy and radiation can be. No child should have to endure this, and no parent should have to fight it alone.

His battle ahead is long and uncertain—at least three years of chemotherapy, countless blood transfusions, and platelet transfusions to give him the best chance at beating this disease.

Since the start of this devastating process, Gavin has remained the bright, brave little boy we all love. But this fight isn't just his - it's ours too. His family faces overwhelming medical expenses along with additional financial burdens that cancer brings.
