Hello everyone,

My name is Michael Southern Sr., and I am reaching out for support during an incredibly challenging time in my life. For the past 20 years, I have been battling a severe back injury sustained during my service in the military. Recently, I was granted 100% disability from the military due to multiple long-term injuries sustained while serving our country.

For the past 18 years, I have dedicated myself to working at a maximum security federal prison. Unfortunately, my injuries have progressively worsened, and in the last six months, I have been unable to work. As a result, I have not received a paycheck in this period, creating a significant financial strain on my family.

My medical condition is severe: I have two collapsed discs and a bulging disc pressing on my nerves, causing debilitating problems with my left leg and I suffer from severe migraines. The long-term damage to my back is now affecting my knees and feet, making everyday tasks increasingly difficult.

Despite my wife's efforts to work as much as possible, her income is not sufficient to cover our expenses. The mounting bills and financial stress are overwhelming, and we are struggling to make ends meet.

I am humbly asking for your help to get through this difficult time. Your generosity will assist us in covering medical expenses, daily living costs, and other necessities while I focus on my recovery.

My companion when I can't get out of bed!

Another companion for the times I can't walk and get out of bed!

Excuse the hair on my face. I was stuck in bed several days because of my back. But as you can see, I never have to fight through this alone. These animals bring me such comfort in my time of need when I'm going through it physically and emotionally!

I have spent the better part of the last six months in bed and or stuck at home. But I at least always have company when my wife and kids are at work/school.
